Packaged Products

The original premium packaged lager Holsten Pils stormed into the market back in 1952 when it was first imported from Germany, and brewed according to the strict German purity laws of the Reinheitsgebot of 1516.

Today, the availability of packaged products is incredibly diverse, ranging from Peroni, imported from Italy, to Smirnoff Ice, a premium packaged spirit.

Premium Packaged Lager

Premium Packaged Lager

Premium Packaged lager accounts for more than a fifth of the On Trade Premium lager market. These products can be divided into four main groups. Lighter Tasting; offering an easy-drinking option, for example Sol or Corona. Stronger Tasting; offering a recognisable choice including well known draught brands like Stella or Grolsch. Speciality Lagers; often defined by brand provenance, and typically associated with specific venues. For example, Tsing Tao or Tiger. Lastly, Innovation Lagers; these brands are viewed as exclusive and unusual and appeal to lager aficionados who want to demonstrate that they set trends. The type of products suitable to obtain the best return from your customers can be determined by your clientele.

Premium Packaged Spirits

Premium Packaged Spirits

We stock over 20 different varieties, which isn't surprising when currently, Premium Packaged Spirits are larger in value than the entire Gin or Rum categories. The key to maximising your revenue stream in this market is knowing when to promote to your customers. For example, did you know that women are more likely to drink Premium Packaged Spirits at 9pm, and men at 10:45pm?

Speciality Beer/Craft Beer

Speciality Beer/Craft Beer

There is now so much variety to be enjoyed, with some magnificent beer styles from the Europe and further afield. Imported by our brand partners, these beers are sourced from around the globe and evolving as consumer demand depicts.

Bottled Beer

Bottled Beer

Beer is a living, hand crafted product, which means lots of stimulating, fresh flavours. It's not artificially carbonated; the pleasant effervescence is generated wholly by the yeast in the bottle. Almost all bottled real ales are made from just four natural ingredients: malted barley, hops, water and yeast, so there are no additives or E numbers.

Bottled Cider

Bottled Cider

The history of cider can be, albeit sketchily, traced as far back as 1300 BC. Cider's image has been transformed from a West Country tipple to a trendy drink for the young and fashion-conscious, with last years bottled cider sales showing a staggering growth. With JV Trading stocking a variety of strengths and levels of sweetness or bitterness, the drink is versatile enough for Licensees to specifically target different segments of the market.
